Our foals are not mass-produced, they are exclusive sport horses for the discerning rider.

Having said that, they are bred to be both higher level competition horses as well as family members.  When you purchase a youngster from us, he or she will be well handled and socialised, i.e. they will be acclimatised to being bathed and groomed, and worked with on a daily basis.   A lot of attention is paid to their nutritional needs.  No effort is spared to ensure that our foals will reach their maximum potential and be well adjusted in order to lead happy, long, productive lives.

All our horses are sold with a right of first refusal contract, and we also offer a home to any of our horses who for any reason cannot be kept anymore, or eventually retired, by their new owners.  We also offer after sales service in that we are always available for advice and assistance with regard to the welfare of our horses.

The difference between a ‘horse breeder’ and a ‘horse farmer’ is that the former breeds a very limited number of excellent quality horses which can excel in higher level Open Competition and the All Breed arena, giving knowledgeable and informed thought to genetics, matches, suitability and, very importantly, market, whilst the latter annually pumps out foals which they do not look after properly, and which are of questionable quality, resulting in a glut of too many of the same type for which there is an ever-declining market.  Our motto has always been ‘Quality NEVER quantity’.

…When only the very best is good enough...

Text Box: Leopard Rock Moonlight Sonata

Introducing  “Leopard Rock Moonlight Sonata” ~ dressage prospect supreme.  In fact, she will excel at anything and everything she turns her hoof to!  See her album on our Facebook page to find out why she was named this.

Sire:  Maluti Toby’s Many Moons [AHBSSA].  Dam:  Wap’s Mamma Mia [USA - ApHC].

This filly is Mia and Many Moons’ third foal and second filly to date.  She is everything and more one could hope for in a true Appaloosa Sport Horse.  This exquisite, homozygous, triple-bred Wap’s Spot 2 filly was produced from the legendary dynasty of
Waps Spot 2 and  Wap’s Reflection’s dam’s side on the bottom.  Combine that with the ability and conformation of her sire, and her pedigree, as far as Appaloosa Sport Horses goes,  is unmatchable.

Born 30 November 2013  @  >00h00.  Dark grulla.   Horizontal half moon and four white hooves.  White sclera.  As correct as they come, long very straight legs with perfect angles and the biggest bone I have seen on a foal of any age. Very refined, small, beautiful dished head and beautifully curled in ears.  Strongly built, with arched neck, excellent shoulder and exceptionally strong chest and hindquarter. Exceptionally big boned and solidly built  42.5”  / 16.7cm at birth.  This exquisite creature has more class, presence and grace than I have ever seen in a foal.  She is unbelievably beautiful.

She holds herself in a regal manner and has a lot of presence.  Conformationally, she is the spitting image of her aunt, Michele’s Reflection, at the same age and she is as close to her dam as it would be possible to get.  Very leggy filly,  and Many Moons has stamped her with his extreme athleticism  and grace.    Already showing the movement of her parents  who both have excellent impulsion, cadence and extension.   We expect her to excel in dressage, eventing or showjumping.  She also does amazing sliding stops, rollbacks and can turn on a tickey :) With that engine and her cool., calm and collected temperament, she would make a great western dressage horse too.

Temperament-wise she is very friendly, absolutely loves to be handled and so very easy to work with.  Mia is a great mother who always produces well-adjusted, lovely natured foals,.  Sonata was a dream to halter train, she  looks forward to her twice-daily walks and doesn’t put a foot wrong.  For the latest up to date information on Moonlight Sonata and her brother Leopard Rock Moons’ Revolution, follow us on Facebook .    Pedigree  Sonata has been sold to a European dressage home.
